4 Common Misconceptions That Everyone Has About Skinny People

“You’re so thin, you can eat as much dessert as you want” is something that every skinny person hears at least once a week. As logical as it sounds, it’s definitely not true. Here are some of the misconceptions that people have about thin people.

    1. Skinny people can eat as much dessert and junk food as they want.

A new study published in the journal Obesity found that eating sugar harms your body, even if it doesn’t cause you to put on weight. It causes a number of metabolic diseases and raises your blood pressure, and harms your skin as well. The same goes for junk food – even if you are able to eat it without putting on weight, it is still harming your system and increasing your risk of diseases like cancer, Alzheimer’s and heart problems.

    2. Skinny people don’t need to exercise.

Just because somebody is thin, doesn’t mean they don’t need to exercise! Apart from helping people lose weight, exercise has a number of other crucial functions. It improves circulation, gets your heart pumping and keeps your muscles and joints strong and supple. It’s a must for everyone – regardless of whether they are thin or fat!

    3. Skinny people don’t eat enough, or have some sort of eating disorder.

    Skinny People Myths
There are people who are thin because they don’t eat enough, or because they have an eating disorder like anorexia or bulimia. However, this does not mean that everybody who is thin isn’t eating properly. There are many thin people who have hearty appetites, who eat as much or even more than they are supposed to.

    4. Skinny people aren’t very strong.

Depending on how much the person exercises, they can actually be quite strong!
