You maybe shopping on the streets but you still don’t want others to know where you bought that outfit from. You might be a college goer or a working guy, we all shop from the streets sometime or the other simply because we are on a budget and somewhere we love the whole concept of bargaining and roaming around shop to shop finding clothes for less. In all scenarios, you want to keep your outfit look like it’s bought from a high street brand.
Keeping this mind, we thought of some basic ways in which you could just do some adjustments to your street shopping clothes and make them look like a branded one
1. Get them altered or fitted to your size
It usually happens that when you go shopping on the streets, you do not get the exact size but you still want to buy that favourite shirt. You can still buy that shirt and get it fitted later on from a tailor.
2. Get the minor repairing done if the need be
Often the busy shops at the flea market do not allow you to completely examine the outfit you want to buy. You may to come to know of a defect when you get home. But do not be disappointed on your buy and rather get it fixed on your own.
3. Be creative and add a design of your own if you like
Buy a plain white shirt/t-shirt from a flea market and attach a printed pocket to it and call it your own designer shirt. This way you can be unique in your own way and not wear something everyone is.
4. Wash them properly
Be sure to wash the clothes you buy from the streets as you can’t fully proof the quality or hygiene levels of the shops you buy the outfits from. So washing becomes really important in order to maintain hygiene.
5. Or dry clean (for some specific clothes like a jacket or blazer)
Some clothes demand a dry clean and not a normal wash like a leather jacket or a velvet cloth. If you do a normal wash on them that might just ruin the fabric.
6. Get them steam ironed
Iron the clothes post wash and dry clean in order to make them look like brand new clothes and not from the flea market. Crushed wrinkled clothes can surely make your outfit look like a cheap one.
