Those who tuned into the World Series last night saw a whole lot more than baseball. They also saw the exclusive debut of the newest TV spot for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2. Earlier this month, the highly anticipated finale released a seriously intense trailer, and now comes even more action, suspense, and a little glimpse of #TeamPeeta.
The latest minute-long trailer packs a whole bunch in, which might be why it’s hard to decipher exactly what’s happening. We, of course, see Katniss, and hear the threatening voice of President Snow. There’s a shot of characters like Prim and Gale, and favorites from the last movie like Johanna.
However, it’s mostly nonstop action, which is an indicator of what to expect come time to see it in theaters. The movie depicts the long-awaited face-off between Katniss and the Capitol after she leaves District 13 with her trusty allies to end this conflict once and for all.
Of course, it’s never that simple, and we can expect this movie to bring a lot of surprises and have no mercy on our racing hearts. As those who read the books know, ending this war isn’t easy, and we should prepare for some heartache before justice is finally served.
