Indian television never fails to amaze. Be it the over popular K-Serials that run over for decades and more or comedy shows that give us doze of hearty laughter! But Indian TV hasn't disappointed in the horror shows department either! Here are 8 horror shows, that rule the late night airwaves, sending chills down the spine. And we are not exaggerating!
1. Zee Horror Show
First horror series that debuted on Indian TV was the famous Zee Horror Show. The show was directed by Ramsay Brothers and ran on Zee TV for about five years. This show became a popular show in the 90’s and had short stories which ran as 4-5 episodes.

2. Aahat
Aahat is probably one of the most popular horror series that was created by B.P Singh for Sony Entertainment Television. The show premiered on 12th October 1995 and it is the longest running horror show aired on Indian television. The sixth season of the episode premiered in February 2015.

3.Woh
Woh was a scary tale of 7 teenagers – Ashutosh, Raja, Julie, Shiva, Ronnie, Sanjeev and Rahul who battle an evil force called Woh. The tales unfolds and take mysterious turns. Guess who played Ashutosh? It was film director Ashutosh Gowarikar who later went on making films like Swades and Jodha Akbar. 4. Fear Files
Another gripping take on paranormal activities was the show Fear Files...Darr Ki Sacchi Tasvirein. This thriller television series aired in 2012 on Zee TV and is still running successfully.

5. Ssshhhh...Koi Hai
Ssshhhh...Koi Hai was an Indian thriller/horror television anthology series created by Cinevistaas Ltd. and Contiloe Entertainment for Star plus. The show ran for three seasons and is considered as one of the most commercially successful horror shows of Indian television.

6. Maano ya naa maano
Based on Ripley's Believe It or Not, Mano ya na mano was a reality show based on weird, real life incidents from all over India. And they were really scary! Some of the episodes were based on super natural powers and the series had Irrfan Khan hosting it in its first season while Mishal Raheja hosted the second season. This was one of a kind show and people loved it purely for its uniqueness.

7. Raat hone ko hai

8. Bhoot Aaya
Bhoot Aaya was an Indian drama television series that was telecasted in October 2013 on Sony Entertainment Television India. The theme of the show was paranormal experiences that were narrated by the victims themselves.
