8 Bollywood Celebrities Who Have Their Wax Statues At Madam Tussauds

Bollywood has gone global and it is not just because of the large Indian populations across the globe but because even foreigners are taking a liking to our style of cinema. Be it Bollywood dance or the style of dressing, we see it influencing global culture these days be it in Hollywood movies or in pop music videos. In such time it comes as little surprise that popular Bollywood celebrities have their identical wax statues at many museums around the world. The most notable and popular being Madame Tussauds. Here are eight Bollywood celebs who have their life size identical twins in wax at the Tussauds:

    1. Amitabh Bachchan

The most iconic symbol of Bollywood cinema, Mr.Amitabh Bachchan went from being the ‘angry young man’ of Bollywood to the experienced, well-nuanced and fine actor that he is today. It is definitely a fitting tribute to have his likeness in wax at the Tussauds. Except that anything that does not produce the same baritone voice that millions of Indians associate to many movies and commercials is simply a smaller than life rendition of the great actor.

    2. Shahrukh Khan

SRK is the heartthrob of millions of Indian women and of those abroad as well! There is no par to his romantic movies and his characters be it ‘Raj’ or ‘Rahul’ have pretty much set a high benchmark for all Indian men to live up to (next to impossible). Which is why they must have decided to have a wax figurine sculpted after the man, because there is only one Shahrukh Khan and anything else has to be made of wax!

    3. Aishwarya Rai

Miss World and often seen on the list of most beautiful women across the globe, Aishwarya Rai is not just an acclaimed actor from Bollywood but also one of the most powerful celebrities in the world. Married into the Bachchan household, she joined the wax figure of her father-in-law at the Tussauds in 2004. The statue now refers to her earlier days in cinema and proves to be a reminder of the glamour and romance of Bollywood.

Salman Khan, is there any list on Bollywood celebs that this man doesn’t feature on!? The ultimate ‘Bahi’ of Bollywood, Salman is known to make block-buster movies and launch an array of newbies. His fan following is insane and it is little wonder that even his wax statue at the Tussauds is enough to have women swooning!

    5. Katrina Kaif

Among the most successful of actresses in Bollywood, Katrina Kaif surprised everyone in the industry when she bloomed from her less than appreciable appearance in her début movie Boom. Since then the talented lady has come a long way and is now among the leading actors in Bollywood. Her statue at the Tussauds is among the most recent additions under the Bollywood category.

    6. Madhuri Dixit

Popular as one of the best actors and dances Bollywood has ever produced, Madhuri Dixit reigned queen of Hindi cinema for several years before she decided to get married and move out of India leaving behind a gaping hole for her fans. She recently returned to India and has been seen in movies, commercials and television shows much to the joy of her fan following. Her statue at the Tussauds portrays her rather perfectly in an elegant saree and the smile that stole many hearts!

    7. Hrithik Roshan

Nobody can move the way India’s very own Greek god Hrithik Roshan does on the screen. A song lights up in his presence and his moves are perfect to a fault! Women swoon over his incredible good looks and that ripped torso! So much of which has been captured in the wax statue of the actor at the Tussauds. His moves however cannot be replicated!

Among the leading ladies of Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor was one of the highest paid female actors in Bollywood up until recently when she married actor Saif Ali Khan and has since been seen in lesser projects.
